car club drama... this is what a cobra guy posted who has a vendetta against me...
just wondering what the definition of "decent power " is?
350rwhp?
400rwhp?
450 and so on...?

I have been in two sts cars now. STS lt1 otherwise stock and sts pretty much stock ls1. both cars run great and are pretty darn fast.Neither car was tracked yet. 400 rwhp is easy 500 should be easy as well. You have a bulit 383 so would think 600 or 700 rwhp is possible maybe with that turbo or you can always upgrade turbo more.
Don't let people get to you.Sts has some issues with ground clearance at least on the older kits and I am not a fan of their scavenger oil pump but theory or not the systems work pretty darn good. I went front mount personally but no dis to sts. I priced out sts and almost bought it but feel there were a bit overpriced at current prices. No intercooler either included although not as necessary with sts maybe.

I have an STS kit with a t76 and a built 408 and i'm shooting for 750rwhp. So your 383 should make some "decent power". Just up the boost and walk the cobra guy and then tell him if he bought a GM he could try to make some "decent power".

I think that small turbos is going to be your limiting factor but you should be able to get 450 no problee. I went with a tc76 for a 347 . I am currently still building it so no numbers now

Garth ( mechanic) said after a few months of driving and more miles on the motor, we can up the boost & we could put 100oct/race fuel in and pump out about 650+'ish. but i dont' really want to pay that much for gas... my income is what's limiting me right now along with the rest of the bills i have to pay... it would be awesome if we could squeeze out 700+ and put that in the Cobra owners face! i might get sent over seas to Iraq next year ( i'm in the USAF!) that would help with some up-grading along with helping them out

maybe you do, but you have no idea how much i want to stick it to cobra guy and we are both AirForce... there is job competition... in the end we are all on the same team, but when cobra guy says i do not do anything to help the United States pisses me OFF big time!!!!!!!!!!...naturally i/any one in our shoes would get defensive.... my job vs. his job....hmmm.... i dont want to burn any britches but his comments and thoughts irritate me

I know what you mean about those mustang guys in the armed forces. I am in the army and kind of have the same issue with some guys. Just cant wait to get me a forged motor and blow them all away. Hell I might be able to do it now but when it comes down to it they are nowhere to be found!? Stick it to him and do us all a favor.
