Tap for Brake Fittings?
This is for the master cylinder on my GTO, but it uses a double inverted brake fitting
I have to pull the master tomorrow, I don't know if the thread needs chased or if it just has something in it
do they sell a tap for that? its just on the first couple of threads if that

you need to get a pitch gauge and check it for yourself, or tear it apart and take one of the fittings to a real auto parts store- Ya know the kind that their first question isnt "what year, make and model"
are you sure its not a bubble flare? if it is then it'll be metric. heres a pic.

Bubble flare's are typically metric, while an inverted flare can be Metric or standard. Typical invert flare fitting sizes are 10mm x 1.0 and 3/8-24. If it is metric check the pitch as 1.25 and 1.5 appear at the most random times.
Also it could be larger than 10mm as master cylinder fittings more than others vary widely.
To tap all the way a custom ground tap will do the job, however I am curious as to why you want to tap it? There should be no issue's with the threads unless you have cross threaded them previously. Running a tap through them is a good way to get chips into your brake system unless you are extremely careful.
A bottoming tap will not tap deep enough on an IF. The lead in is too long.
