Default Monsoon not putting out any sound

Alright so I'm a COMPLETE stereo noob so this could very well be an easy fix.

A couple days ago my Monsoon stopped putting out sound. The head unit still lights up and functions properly, just no sound comes out of the speakers. My alternator went out the same day...related problem possibly? Any simple things I should check first? fuses...thanks.

Check the RADIO ACCY fuse (#4) and the POWER ACCY fuse (#7). As onbadazzls1ta said, always check fuses with a fuse tester or multimeter, or replace with a known good fuse - fuses can look fine but still be blown.

Thanks a lot guys. I popped out the RADIO ACCY fuse and sure enough, it was blown. Replaced it and it works fine now.

Where's the Radio Accy fuse? I didn't see it in the fuse boxes under the hood. Thanks.

Glad that worked out for ya. Mine is not the fuses. I checked both advised to and they were both good. Switched out another just to check. Guess I'll have to start chasing down wires and see if a ground is loose or the Amp is toast.

See if you can reset your head unit. My Alpine had a reset button behind the faceplate, meaning that the reset button is on the head unit, with the faceplate removed.

got it figured out. The connector plug that goes to the Amp, had wiggled loose. Plugged it back in a wha-lah, we have sound. Now to the next issue, I gotta get those front speakers replaced, they sound horrible, both have to be blown, and some of the back ones may be too.

Thanks for you guys help though.
