Default If invert an Audiobahn 15 do i need to swap phase?

hey everyone! - i'm working on custom making a fiberglass box for my C5 that utilizes my trunk drop down for a 15" Audiobahn DVC and i this will be my 1st inverted sub install and i wasn't sure about the phasing if i need to swap the pos/neg to make the sub hit in reverse since the sub is mount in reverse?

Any help is appreciated

yeah i agree, i've got an old school Infinity Kappa 202a 600x1 amp - i've never actually swapped the phase on a sub before, is it as simple as taking the pos/neg from amp and going to the opposite terminals on sub? since this sub is a DVC (dual voice coil) how do i wire that now that its swapped?

what i would do is wire everything like normal ur VC's etc. Then at the amp swap positive and negative where you hook the sub up

The biggest item of concern is having the dual voice coil - make sure they are wired in the same manner - otherwise they'll be cancelling each other out - pentavolvo suggestion is the easy way to do this.

As for reversing the polarity - technically you should so that it matches the other speakers. But the reality for subs is that you can go either way - try both and see which sounds better. Some people with their setups can notice a difference - some can't.

Also, some processors have this feature build in - usually under the 'phase' option - it can either be 0 degrees or 180 degrees - if you have a process like this - you can control it from here instead.

it doesnt really matter as long as you only have one sub. i would reverse the polarity though. i had a box with two inverted subs and i kept messing with the polarity...i did notice a minor difference.

Yes, reverse the phase.
