bad toys

i just bought a 98 camaro ls1 its got oliver rods,ross pistons 11.4 comp,tea stage 2 heads,comp cam special grind 600 lift roller,ls6 intake and a nx 250 shot,my ? is on the motor alone what is a good total timing,it is locked at 28,im from the old skool which i would run 38 to 40 total,just not sure with the ls1.then i have timing tuner which ill use to retard the timing when spraying.thanks for any help Dave
