heads and cam set off the knock sensors?
Ok I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I just got my 02 ss back I put a 228/232 111 lsa cam milled the stock heads .37 thousandths did a valve job put hardened push rods new valve springs and a fast/NW 92 combo and a dyno tune... I just got about 300 miles on it after all this when the check engine light came on I took it to advance auto to get it checked and it had four knock sensor codes on could any of this set off the knock sensors?

What's the code? Sounds like there is a problem with the wiring or the connection of the wiring to the sensors. Maybe the intake install jarred something loose or damaged the sensor wiring. Need the code # to better estimate. The knock sensors pull timing when detecting knock. There isn't usually a check engine light associated w/ engine knock. Although, it may be possible should the engine knock be consistent enough to be engine threatening. Need the code.

i had the guy at advance clear the code but ill try to get it today... If the knock sensors pull timing would that hurt my horsepower? And if it pulls timing would that make the car drop to about 400 rpms and back up when I push in the clutch it sounds like the cars guna die for a few seconds then it idles fine

The knock sensors will pull timing & potentially reduse power. Yes, it could cause the rpms to drop. Another posibility is that your tune is a bit off. Your best bet is to take it back to the dyno where it was tuned & let the tuner know what has happened.
