FAST intake trouble feeding engines at 6200?
well im building a 427 resleeved ls1, currently i have a fast 90 90 combo, ive seen and heard dyno #s, on the intake not being able to feed the engine up top, will porting solve this?

compared to what? a Victor Jr carb setup?
part of the draw of the FAST is the added flow at the top end.
it sure as hell outflows the ls1 and ls6.
it should flow enough for your setup stock...but as with anything there ARE gains to be seen with porting for MORE flow.
with your setup...it would be foolish to NOT port it

its def. gonna get ported, its just i wanted to see if that will help out, cause if it didnt i think i would go with a sheetmetal beck intake, but im gonna give it a try

As long as your fuel situation is under control, I think the FAST really wakes up once you get higher in the RPM range. Mine is ported (obviously my cid is much less than yours) and pulls very hard from about 3,500+ RPM's. Didn't lose anything down low either...

porting is a must. i ported mine myself and my H/C/I/stock bottom end pulled hard up to 7000rpm. power didn't start to fall off until ~6800. portwork is worth every penny you pay or every second you spend doing it, which ever route you take...

1 more question, when i pull the intake out, i dont feel like using the rubber gasket, what kind of rtv sensor safe sealant can i use, assuming i can, any links apreciated
