Default Shipping my car, need to LOWER performance

Shipping my car, need to LOWER performance

handing it over for a move.

Thought about lowering RPM limit to 4000, Speed limit to 75.

H0109 for speed limit, B3303 for RPM

what else would work??

Backing off timing dramatically would lead to pre-ignition?? Or would it give further reduced performance???

Amount of driving by shipper should be minimal.

Look into valet mode if it's just going to be loaded/unloaded on a truck. It's an option with one of the EFI custom os's.

Just turn the speed limiter to 10mph and change the rev limiter to 2000rpm that will stop anyone from beating on it.

Do you have ASR? I have thought once about making a bracket tied to a relay and then putting that in line with the actuator motor so that if you step on the gas more than X amount the TCS actuator will activate. This would be on a master on-off switch.

Of course no one drives my car so I never did that.

I have a tune I use when leaving my car with others.. I don't run a speed limiter but I do have a 2500rpm limiter... As well as this as a timing table which peaks at about 5degrees at WOT.. Works a treat to transform the car from 480HP to 50HP

Disconnect the spray. That is the only thing that makes your car unusually different from what people should be accustomed to driving.

I would do as others have suggested, turn the rev limiter to say 3000 and set the top speed limiter to like 65.

End result. Top speed at 40. RPM limit at 2500, back on at 2400. Timing backed off 10 degrees across the board.

Slight loss of power. Top speed cutoff is actually at 25. Not sure what is the issue there. RPM limiter lazily kicks in and then engine re-engages about a half second later.

There is no way for abuse, with the exception of the cutoff surging the hell out of the car in such a low speed.

Oops, KM/Hr is the setting on top speed limiter.
