Opinions on size of custom emblem??
So I'm picking up some 454 LSX emblems from a non sponser, but am trying to decide on size I'm leaning more towards this one or a little smaller, this is just a printed proof. The actual metal emblem will have all silver letters except for the x. Please excuse the mess I just had my tonsils, adnoids and uvula removed so the garage has become a wasteland my wife just throws stuff in (not that it was all that tidy when it was just me!
Here is the actual emblem.

I like it alot too and the car is pretty plain so I figure this with tinted windows, and some 454 LSx stickers on the hood scoop will dress it up a bit.
I just don't know about the size yet. Do you think it looks proportional to everything else in the rear are should I go a little smaller that one is 6.5 x2 inches I could go 5.5 x 1.75...

If that emblem is who I think it's from, it isn't metal at all. It's plastic with a brushed metal finish. Maybe you should ask him about that...
Also, if you are paying $125 for that, it is way, way, way too high. That's about $3 worth of material.
Again, if it is who I think it is, he represents his products as being "stamped" with brushed aluminum. This couldn't be any more false. It is simply 2-layer plastic. There is absolutely no, ZERO aluminum on his pieces.
Hell, if you want a sample of this "Aluminum" I'll send you a piece to see for yourself. Send me your address.
Here is a sample picture of the EXACT same material in an emblem I make. I am telling you straight up, it's plastic:
It's nothing more than plastic made to look like brushed aluminum.

Believe me, I am not bitter about anything. You mislead people by calling things what they are not - that is a fact. Plastic is not aluminum. Plastic is not brushed aluminum.
I find it very funny that people come on here and spam your products when they have very small post counts, and then you get on here and bring things back from July, 2008 like you just did.
Isn't it funny that we also design our own work from start to finish, and have machinery to pay for, but keep our costs reasonable with more expensive materials, i.e. stainless steel???
Keep your false advertising to boards you sponsor. Thanks again.
