new opti car still wont start
i got a brand new delphi opti and the car still wont start. all sensors are hooked up, wires are not crossed, got spark from the coil, and all it does is crank until i stop cranking and it seems it wants to start. There is no popping during cranking like i was having before which i mentioned in this thread https://ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt4-modifications/956362-opti-rotor-problem.html . I have no idea what it can be now. Im going to try to reset the cpu and charge my battery to see if it will start then. Thanks

a thought popped into my head and could it be possible that the rotor is hitting the number one on the exhaust stroke instead of the compression stroke since it seems like it wants to start after i stop cranking the motor? Im going to turn the rotor 360 degrees tomorrow and see what happens. I just dont understand that it was running went to change the cap and rotor then it wont start so bought a new opti and it still wont start.

yea i know its on the right way. the non vented are have an alignment key so it will only go on one way. I will see if my autozone or kragens can check the icm. If it has gone bad why would the car try firing after i stop cranking the motor? thanks

ok so a little update. I had my stock coil laying around so i thought i would try it just for the hell of it and what do you know car starts right up. Now it still has a bit of a stumble and pops when i let off the throttle, i know it does it some but it seems to be a little loud and its just one big pop. When i took the #1 plug out it seemed to be a little rich so i might as well change the plugs while everything is easier to get too. Now i msd wires and was wondering what to look for in a burnt wire? they dont look melted and like they were burning just want to make sure they are not bad as well.
