Default Trick Flow Polymer Elbow or 1LE?

I currently have the aluminum elbow and after the a run, that damn thing stays hotter than HELL itself! I can touch my headers before the elbow lol(after shutdown obviously)! The car never get's hotter than 185, so I know thats not the prob. Point is trick flow makes a plastic polymer elbow, that is about the same price or cheaper than 1le? Which one should i get? I have been reading and some guy's claim that the stock 1le elbow's iat's stay 40 degrees cooler, then the a aluminum one. Can't find much info on the trick flow polymer, so it must be new to the market, or maybe it's junk idk?

I've got it and I like it. Haven't pulled any IAT data though, but it is a nice piece. Pretty thick and very durable. I don't foresee having any issues with it.

Nice, it looks way better than the 1l3 too, so thats good to hear. Is it split or open on the inside?

weird... my trickflow is usually cool to the touch.. at most its air temp while idling.... once I shut the car off it will absorb some heat off the motor but, nothing crazy. I'm using a 160* stat and have the fans tuned to come on at like 175...... I never paid any attention to the IAT data either... might have to check that sometime for the sake of knowing.

logical thinking would lead me to believe that the plastic one would better insulate the inside air from the underhood temp and heat soak so, should be a good deal

Mine aluminum one stays pretty cool run after run but then again I am spraying a little nitrous through it! Lol!! On a serious note the poylmer one sounds pretty interesting! I have not seen one of those yet. What kind of price are they? Also if it is the same price as the 1le then thats a great deal considering it should hold up better than the rubber!
