Lightbulb Finished installing my LS1 Borla exhaust on my LT1

Well I finally finished installing my Borla adjustable cat back from my LS1 on my LT1. I used this from SLP http://www.slponline.com/view_p product.asp?P=30045&BIG=30045-1 It is to install an LS1 loud mouth exhaust on an LT1. I figured it would work with my Borla also, and it did. It was simple to do! Installed the new hanger, and insulator on the driver side, bolted in the new exhaust pipe to the cat, and installed the LS1 cat back as necessary. The exhaust has perfect clearance, no hanging, and no banging on anything. I'm sure this kit would fit any LS1 style cat back on an LT1, so I just wanted to share in case anyone else would come down this road. Sorry I don't have pics of the install, but when I get a chance I will take some pics of it on the car

All I needed to fit my LS1 Magnaflow was the hanger and insulator you mentioned. If I remember it was only about $20 from the dealer.

How could I forget! I have a new found respect for LT1s. It sounds bad ***! It is as loud as my LS1 but sounds more rough, as my LS1 sounded smooth. Cant wait to hear how it sounds after I install a CAI and headers

Yeah if I remember those borlas sound real good on the LT1s.... My friend had a green camaro with a gutted cat and a borla with no plate and the thing sounded badass. Too bad he wrecked it. (ran a best of 12.3 on the silly gas too)

X2 very happy with my Borla. Next would be installing a Qtec where the plates would go. I am running an open plate now and it is lound and throaty. I have run a closed plate, and it gets very quiet. Sleeper status! But I always keep it open plate.

For the TSP rumbler, you MUST get the S-pipe for it to work on 93-95 lt1's, I know I've been there. JBA just fabbed one up for me.

Dont know what happened there, maybe because I already had mac mids... But mine went in without ANY modification, and fits right where it should.
