You might check the fuel pressure via the schrader valve on the fuel rail just to rule that out. No sense in throwing parts at it without looking into it a little.
If you get an opti, get the whole assembly from GM. That's the easiest way to do it IMO. Doing just the cap and rotor is not worth the headache IMHO.

Just the distributor if thats what the car is throwing codes for. As stated above, get the car scanned if its already throwing codes. This is going to make your day a whole lot easier and cheaper.
