One step closer to the Bolt-on LT1 record
I was happy when right off the trailer and todays baseline looked like this:
60' ... 1.676
330 .. 4.968
1/8 ... 7.752
MPH . 87.98
1000 10.150
1/4 ... 12.161
MPH . 112.64
A few changes got me to:
60' ... 1.655
330 .. 4.932
1/8 ... 7.704
MPH . 88.28
1000 10.100
1/4 ... 12.107
MPH . 112.76
Playing with it a little more got me to 12.0's, an by this point it was well into the afternoon and hotter:
60' ... 1.642
330 .. 4.921
1/8 ... 7.694
MPH . 88.36
1000 10.085
1/4 ... 12.088
MPH . 112.99
I followed that up with another new best of:
60' ... 1.639
330 .. 4.910
1/8 ... 7.684
MPH . 88.29
1000 10.076
1/4 ... 12.078
MPH . 113.16
Just another lightweight bolt-on LT1 car...

I must have missed part of your question about port and polish, what are you refering to? The heads and intake are bone stock and never removed from the car...
And there is no need for a 58mm TB at this level, I'm not making enough power to warant it, and it would be over kill for a bolt-on car. Also I know a few guys that have slowed down and loss power on the dyno after putting on a 58mm TB when the rest of the combo (stock H/C) couldn't support it...
Might I suggest the 24# SVOs. I upgraded to them and w/o even a tune, noticed better throttle response from them. Then again, mine being a 93, were 22#. Still, they ionize the gas better for a better burn.
I'd also change your fuel filter before each run if you REALLY want to go for the record. Can't be too sure of things you can't see inside of

Actually I am not really trying for the record right now, just working to dial in the car, but come fall or spring when the weather is cooler, then I will try...
2900lbs Good Luck, I think 10's would be easy with that weight.-Dustin-
Taubr Unit - I still have a good deal of weight to remove before needing to spend money on other weight reduction stuff.
Also, when I get the time I am hoping to pull another 40-50# out, but right now I need to get the car dialed in for a race next week in a points series I race in. And, as most of you guys know changing a lot of things normally means a lot of tweeking to get it going down the track just right, and I don't have the time within the week to mess with it any more...
fast - I will try for Shon's record later in the season when the weather gets better...
i think both will get you something...also a aluminum driveshaft?
upper panhard rod gone??
charcoal canister?
i hear ls1 front brakes/spindles are lighter than lt1 stuff...(ellis)
also k-member lowers and uppers...manual rack over the stock rack/looped...
couple ideas^^
if you had a little bigger converter/4.10 that would prolly get you there and beat that old record with an auto! id be seriusly impressed!
