Default Edelbrock rails and Earls 3/8 NPT question

I have the edel. rails for my vic. jr. intake in 3/8 NPT. The thread on the inside of the rails are anodized on the inside as well. Therefore making the -8 3/8 NPT fitting thread in like ***. Ive gotten a little bit of thread shavings out of the rail or the fitting with only the first four fitting threads in the rail. Did anyone else have an issue with this and is it something to be concerned about. Im not going to really crank down on these things until I find out what the issue is or if its cause for concern. Please let me know.

P.S.- I used teflon tape before I tried to thread them in.

Thanks.

Default

1st off always use TEFLON PASTE, if the tape comes off the fitting it can clog up places in the fuel/nitrous system. The paste will break apart and you have a better chance of not having problems.

2nd, go get a tap set and open up your 3/8's a bit, get all the finishing off and see if that fixes your problem.
