What is this solenoid?

What is this solenoid? Passenger side right beside the intake manifold, above the valve cover. It has a solenoid, and then a small hose to what looks like a valve, and then that valve connects to the throttle body. What is the purpose of this solenoid/valve? Is it EGR crap?
