Default PRC 2.5 LS6 Heads/Torquer V.3 and mods in sig...

Well, kudos to the sponsors I've dealt with in the recent past. Texas Speed, American Racing Headers, GMMG, Wait4me Tune and Futral Motorsports have all played an important role in helping me achieve my goal. I put a lot of time in researching the best combo for me and asked alot of questions. I knew this car was running strong, but wasn't expecting this. I started with a Wait4me tune after the mods were installed and Jesse had it very close for a mail order setup. I took it to Allan at Futral Motorsports today to help with some part throttle issues and a dyno. He dialed it in perfectly. Here's the result...

I was really impressed with how it reaches 450 hp at just over 6,000rpm and holds it until the limiter. Oh, for those who suggest paper filters, we pulled the K&N filter between pulls 3 & 4. Guess it flows pretty good...

Nice numbers. People don't use paper filters because they flow more than a k&n per say. Mainly because of better filtering and avoiding oily mafs.

Thanks! I've seen some argue against their flow abilities. I use it because my hood is sealed and I need an oily filter to catch any moisture if I get caught in a rain...

aaaahahahaha! yeah, i was def surprised. i knew the car pulled strong and really felt like i had put together a good working combination, but you never really know. the car has excellent driveability too. i drove it over 2 hours each way to futral today and set the cruise on 80 with the a/c on. drove great, especially on the return home trip. he really straightened my part throttle issues out.

if ur doing a head/cam combo, 400rwhp should be relatively easy...

Thanks, I just used the GM gasket kit from Texas Speed. No milling and no flycutting...

Awesome! Thanks for posting all this. Im trying to decide when/if I want heads to go w/ this cam, and which ones to look at. Are you on stock gears? If so, you should see what it feels like w/ 4:10s!

Thanks! I would really look at the PRC heads. The port work on them was outstanding. Ya, I know I need gears but waiting to get either a 12 bolt or 9".

I was hoping to see numbers a little closer to the 460+rwhp mark, running that TV.3. good numbers none the less!

I'd love to see some pics of your car personally. Something about white TA's that just look incredible! Again, congrats on the #'s and certainly glad you a pleased w/the results...

Actually, I think this is fairly high for a TV.3. This is not considered a large cam at all by most. It looks stock other than tint and removing the molding and door badges. I like it that way. My fquick link is at the bottom of my sig.

Awesome numbers! I have similar setup to you but I put down 433whp/402tq minus the FAST 92 and cooler plug.

Thanks, yea, I run the TR6 as well. With an intake, you'd probly be same as me...

Holy ****! You have those numbers, cam only? Feels really strong on the street. Like I said in other posts, I had no idea what it would dyno, but I just felt like I had a working combination of parts. FWIW, I ran a 68 camaro with a 461 big block, mini tubbed, ford 9", etc. and pulled him from both a dig and a 30 roll by a car or so. His is supposed to be a low 11 second car. My third gear really pulls hard, that's where I'd get him. Not sure when it'll get any track time, as long as the stock 10 bolt is in there.

Yeah Im thinkin PRC's also, maybe 5.3's cuz I wont be making many trips to the track. I'll also stick w/ LS6 intake and spend the extra bucks on some nitrous or something. I didn't realize your car was white also, looks great! And nice mileage, mine's at 27k!

I to have a very similar setup with the TQR V.3 and a set of TSP 243's. But with a ls6 int. I have not had it tuned yet. But I hope to get it done this summer and take it back to the dyno. I was hoping for at least 420+.

Nice numbers! We've been consistent 440-450rwhp and 400ftlbs with that camshaft and the PRC heads when setup properly, with great street manners! Let us know how she does at the track too!
