Default LS1 coils to LS2 truck coil...

Has anybody swapped their LS1 coil packs to the LS2 6.0 truck coil with the heatsink? How'd it go? Yes, different plugs, pins are reversed....

I found this on another forum http://www.megamanual.com/seq/coils.htm Good info on the text, about 2/3 's of the way down the page is a video. Kind of long to watch the whole thing but the guy does pretty much cover everything...

I'd like to know if there's any real difference, power-wise to the extra spark the LS2 coil gives over the LS1? Once the fuel explodes, it doesn't explode bigger or better with a hotter spark does it?

Charlie

I have a set of 8 brand new Msd 8246 coils! They were designed for the LQ truck series!(direct bolt on for anybody running this coil gm part # 19005218)
They retail anywhere $750-850! These are still in the original packaging! I bought them for my ls1 they will work but I would have to swap brackets and harnesses!
