Default 10 bolt breaking on roll races ?

I have an 02 ss with around 23k on the clock. Mods include lt ory lm2 and cai. I put down 317/333 before lt's and ory so im going to guess i have around 330 now untuned. I have 295/35/18 BFG kdw's on the back with 18" C5 z06 wheels. What are the odds realistically of me breaking my 10 bolt if i only roll race right now? Im asking this because I want to get a torquer v.2 within the next few months, but if my money is better spent on an s60 or 9" i'd rather go that route.

It depends on a lot of things...How hard to you drive the car? Is it an a4 or m6? you have a better chance of keeping it alive with an a4. Normal driving with the "fun" every now and then the 10 boltts are ok..but for somebody who drives the car hard alot a rear end is better suited and more needed.

its a six speed car, and I usually only get hard on it if i'm with my friends. I don't waste my time on the 12038971 hondas in the area. I think I drive very conservatively

I broke my first 10 bolt doing nothing but rolls. I have not broke my second 10 bolt, and I have done many 5000 rpm leaves at the track on nittos. Depends on how it has been treated. DONT SHOCK IT, i really think that is the secret.

If you start at 2nd gear rolls, you'll GREATLY increase the chances of survival of the 10 bolt. I broke mine on the 1-2 shift on Nittos before. I did ALOT of 2nd gear 40 rolls though and it held even with 615rwtq. From a dig though, I broke it on motor once, and on juice I broke it on the 1-2 shift. No worrys about that anymore though...

Well after 17k hard mile on my 3.23 rear end in a 6-speed car it finally let go. 10k of which were on drag radials. Rear end went in in Jan., died in Aug. lol. Several 45-50mph 1st gear rolls, hundreds of powershifts, dozens of which I had 3 other people in the car haha. It lived a hard life, sucks it had to let go so early... Oh, it died under halfway normal acceleration on my way from work. $120 tow bill and 3 hours later I got home. 100% random.

Here is Hunter02SS's 922 RWHP 02 SS running from a roll on the stock 10 bolt w/ 3.23's (used to be auto car), he made some 10 second passes on this setup as well, taking it kind of easy. He never broke it either, not sure how. I broke the FUGG out of mine at the track dumping the clutch on Nittos not hooking in my LT1 car with an LPW Support Cover.

My second 10 bolt was Strange 3.73's, LPW Support Cover, ARP Stud Kit, Eaton Posi. I beat the brakes off of it, dig runs, track runs, roll races, ripping gears, 150 shot etc, never broke it

Well I guess im pretty much sold on the idea of going cam first, then rear end. If I do go to the strip it won't be more than twice a year anyway, so what would the odds be of it blowing !

If you dump the clutch, have a grabby clutch and rip gears it could go whenever, like was said above, the 1-2 shift can get it as well. It doesnt really matter if it's strip or street, track is prepped a little better, but most people I know that fear the track due to breakage, tear more *** on the street than they would at the track anyway, so their parts arent any safer lol.

Cam only.....And all you're gonna do it roll race, if its a m6, I say maybe, A4, I wouldn't worry about it...
