1998 Z28 vs New Skyline GTR
Let's just say it wasn't pretty. We weren't doing anything side by side, but I saw him from a distance and ran up to him. He took the scenic route to his home to test out his new car I guess. Real open and curvy area. I had it floored and he was still pulling away. I'm a stock M6 except for longtubes though, so it wasn't as bad as I thought. Car looked SHARP. Took a few pictures but only one saved, and it's pretty shitty.

Yeah.. but the same thing could be said about a Z28 and a C6Z06, or any high end performance car, really. Z28 + 35 grand = a Z06 pounding.

The GTR isn't that fast, I wouldn't even consider it anything near the "supercar" category.
Last numbers I saw were for a production model was in C&D. The GTR ran 12.6 @ 111MPH. Even a base model Corvette would kick it to the curb. The pre-production cars that Nissan released were factory modified to produce better numbers than the production car is really capable of, typical Nissan.
There's some videos floating around of a stock GTR vs. a stock Z06, lets just says its not pretty for the GTR.

It's NOT a supercar, you're right. However, C&D finally dyno tested a later-production factory car and a production car. It dyno'd 420Awhp and trapped at 121mph or so. See the latest issue.
So now.....it should be interesting if the Spec-V has a 540hp rating yet the only improvements in acceleration are accounted for in gearing and weight reduction.... Ah, the conspiracy continues!
