lt4 intake inplace of stock intake?

Internally it is the same as the LT1 intake. Externally it has extra material above the runners so that it can seal to the taller LT4 head ports, that extra material interferes with the LT1 valve cover rail. Machine off that material and you have essentially an LT1 intake.
Guessing you assumed it was a performance improvement, that assumption while very common is also very wrong.
So much so GIZMO was kind enough to take side by side pics for us and post them on the web.

yep, no difference in power and no reason to swap to LT4 intake unless you ahve LT4 heads (or ported TFS, AFR, etc) that NEED the LT4 intake to seal off on taller intake ports.
The LT4 intake would also need to be modified (basically turned into an LT1 intake and making it worth much less) to even fit a LT1 cylinder head. The extra material that makes it an LT4 intake will hit the valve cover rails on an LT1 head.
