First race in my z-28

First race in my z-28 Well, I got some new tires the other day and had my first race yesterday. I have a friend with a Grand Prix GXP with an intake and exhaust. He pulled up to where we usually hang out and started talking about how he had the same power to the ground that I did and about how his dad has a stage 3 roush and that would burn me and such. He is a friend but sometimes he is a d*ck. Anyway, he tells me he wants to see how quick my car is and of course I say sure lets do it. We go out to an access road and line up he says third honk on you. I honk three times and just lay it down of the line, I spun a little bit but as soon as I hooked he dissappeared into my rearview in a hurry. Normally we race 1/4 mile or as close as we can get to it on the street. I let of at 90 mph and was a long ways ahead of him. My girl was in the passenger seat and she was looking at him when we took off and she looked like she had a rubberneck trying to see where he went. I had a blast. He said he spun alot but I don't know if he did or not cuz as soon as we started I was gone. I even let off way b4 the quarter.

NICE KILL... i dont know why he thinks he would of beat you....? but anyway. you need to post what your mods are and more about your car. so we can get a better picture of this run.

For guys like that, especially my friends who don't really know what a good z28 can do, I never mash it haha. I toy with them till about 40 or 50 then just lay it down and watch them struggle haha

Well I bought this car with a catback and no cat's and I think that is all that it has done to it. He has just always thought he was better than everyone and it felt good to put him in his place for once.

Nice kill bro!! I know this dude too. He has always been one of those" My stuff is better than your stuff" kinda guy. I gave him four seconds from a 35mph roll. I caught him before he hit 100mph. He made the "Roush Stage 3" threat to me too. Difference is, I told him to go get it!! I looked up all the stats on motor trend. With a professional driver it pulled a 13 flat in the 1/4!! I'd love to wipe the grin off his face when he gets pulled in his DADDY'S Roush!! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. That Roush he's so fond of isn't even his!!! If I can get him to bring it out I'll post up a video.

Dude, I have every intention of racing the Roush!! I've been wanting to break a piece off of that thing ever since he started threatening everybody with it. Like I said, if I get the opprotunity to run him, then there will deffinently be a video posted. Win or lose I'll still post it.

I don't know yall he was talking about my car and an ss and saying that an ss camaro could kill me. I told him that i thought it would come down to a drivers race. He is just one of those dudes, im sure you all know the type, that thinks his **** doesn't stink. And I got to rub his face in it. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA AWESOME. I am supposed to race a lexus sc430 with full exhaust nology plug wires and ngk plugs. Its a 4.3L v8 he thinks he has a shot 2. Oh well I'm gonna show them why I bought my LS1. I dig the hell out these cars.
