Suggestions for heads and cam??
My car is currently a bolt-on vehicle. I will be adding ported heads and a cam within one month.
I am currently considering:
1. SDPC - LS6 CNC Ported Assembled Aluminum Cylinder Heads(part number 88958622) that are milled .055 inches, and
2. Lunati 2500-6000 Hydraulic Roller LS1 Camshaft (part #LUN55004)with the following specs:
Advertised Duration Int.: 283°
Advertised Duration Exh.: 293°
Duration @ 0.050 (I/E): 224°/224°
Lift, (I/E): 0.560"/0.560"
Lobe Separation: 112°
RPM Range: 2500-6000
Type: Hydraulic Roller
The heads are $985 per copy fully assembled and the cam is $499.
Questions:
1. Is this a good combination and price value?
2. Are the .055 milled heads trouble with a stock LS6 intake?
3. What length pushrods should I order?
4. Is the cam too hot for the street?
5. I bought a stock GM replacement timing chain and sprockets; should I bag these for a dual chain setup?
Thanks guys....
