VERY interesting thread on leaks with Cometic gaskets and 5.3L heads on a Corvette I thought this was very informative, and thought some of you might be interested in reading it, there are several picture swith it also....

Re: VERY interesting thread on leaks with Cometic gaskets and 5.3L heads on a Corvette this could explain my small leak i have on my cometic gaskets, i jjust thought i needed to tighted the bolts down a little further.
Ill have to look and see, who knows this might also be the cause of my oil problems.

Re: VERY interesting thread on leaks with Cometic gaskets and 5.3L heads on a Corvette So if I was swapping my heads from my stock 5.7s to my new 6.0 castings on an FI app, what gasket should I use? I don't want to go thru all this crap. Will the GM gasket work to 15psi?
Are there more head gaskets available to us other than the leak prone Cometics?
