Default Reaview mirrior removal

Somehow my soon to be ex managed to rip the rearview mirror of the base, my question is how the hell do you remove the base from the windshield? Do you just pull up or something?

the base is glued on there. Why do you need to remove the base?

So the base thats glued on the windshield has to be removed? Doesn't the arm/support separate from the glued base?

No it does not. The base from the mirror prys off the base that is glued onto the windshield. Most people pry off with a flathead.

BE CAREFUL. Try not to put stresh on your windshield and crack it

Yea I got it out, I wasn't sure if I had to remove the actual base thats glued to the windshield or if the support separates from that glued base (didn't see how). Just said **** it and pryed it off, got lucky.
