LS3 swap....
I might have a dumb question and then i will need a dumb answer...lol...jk. I was wondering how much total would it be to drop a LS3 crate motor into a f-body? What would i have to do to the tranny as far as upgrades and what not? OR would it be easier to do a 408 stroker, or rebuild the motor of the stock LS1 and forge the internals??? Which one would gain more HP and which one would be cheaper?!? Thanks guys.

Shoot me a PM with some details about what you're wanting out of the swap (power goals, driveability, budget, etc) and I can put together a detailed quote for you that fits your needs best!
The extra cubes will make better power, not just at peak but from idle to redline! The downside to the 408 iron motor is ane extra 80-9lbs on the front of your car. Let me know if I can help

Oh ya one more thing. The 408 is a direct swap and wont require a conversion kit where the LS3 will so it increases the final cost of the engine.
We measure the difference at 75#'s between the aluminum and iron blocks. Most body guys don't seem to mind the added weight where most Vette guys prefer to stay lighter.
