Texas Speed and Performance
I returned a Ram clutch for credit and Trevor only charged 5% restocking fee. I will do business with TSP again.
In comparison, I am returining a Comp cam, springs and retainers to one of the site sponsors, who has informed me that he wants a 20% restocking fee because the cam was "custom." Unfortunately, he did not inform me that the cam was a custom grind prior to the purchase. If he insists on the 20% fee, I will have to protest and post the results here.

The 20 percent is for all returns Steve.
The cam was a custom grind I had made for your car and we do not take back custom cam as nobody does.

I'll repeat: ESP did not tell me that I was purchasing a custom cam or that there would or might be a 20% restocking fee. If you had told me, I would have purchased one of the many available off the shelf cams. It's just that simple.
I am also surprised that you have made this an issue on this board after I intentionally omitted your shop's name.

I guess we wanted to get in front of this because of the way you started the post.
Anyway the cam being custom has nothing to do with the restocking fees that just our policy.

Yes, you are very biased such that your view of this particular topic has to be discounted. Charging a 20% fee on returns means that ESP is guaranteed to make your fee even if the customer doesn't keep the item. This is unreasonable business practice.

"If you go to the doctor and he tells you nothing is wrong DOES he still charge you?" YES....You said it! This is a business....
And I am sorry I will not Banter back and forth on the subject any more. I just feel it is unreasonable to expect something for nothing...Business is Business!
