Magnaflow Loud in car?
I am looking at an 07 GXP that has magnaflow on it. This would be a DD for my mother and I know that she will not want it if it makes too much noise inside the car. Also, what kind of mileage do you guys get with these when you are mainly driving on town?

I can't answer the MPG display part as I have an Impala SS, my Magnaflow cat-back was nice and quiet until I swapped to a catless downpipe. Even now in car it isn't very loud, but it's definitely noticable. Before the downpipe, it wasn't much louder at all in car.
My city gas mileage is usually about 16-17mpg these days, around 14-15 in summer when A/C is being used religously. Highway is about 25-27 for me lately.

I have a 3" catless dp and magnaflow catback system, also have the trunk gutted with no sound deadening material, me and the gf think its perfect haha maybe needs to be louder but with just the cat back it was only loud at full throttle.

Your Mom wants a GXP?? LOL That's awesome...I wish my mom was like that. My parents currently own an 01 Buick Century which is going down fast, and an 07 Imp LS which is OK but not my cup of tea. Maybe if it was the SS I'd be all over it LOL. But I own a Magnaflow catback, and it does get kind of loud in the car when you hit the gas lightly, but I usually don't hear it cause I play my music at a slightly louder tone ....BTW my parents run their cars until they are dead. They just got rid of their 94 Buick Skylark which ran pretty good for it's age. The only bad thing about it was that it gathered water inside, and during the winter months it would turn to ice HAHA. So every time they got into the car they would slip

A little late but I have no cat nor resonator and just MagnaFlow mufflers and it's quiet in the cab to me. Before I took the cat out I was get 26-28 highway mpg and removed 22-24, with DoD removed. Mixed 17-19. Straight city 15-17.

I drove mine in Laramie Wy winters... Arrrg... mine was pretty good in the winter. Just be carefull when stopping before hills, got stuck a few times trying to climb hills from a stop. This was all on stock(bald) potenzas so with snow boots on these cars might be perfect in the fluffy white stuff!

i only drove mine once in the snow and that was with aftermarket summer tires... Didn't work out the best HAHAHA but like any fwd car if your mom can adjust her driving habits for the road conditions she will be fine.
