Does wax go bad, in the container?
So I've had the same container of Meguiars wax for about 10 years now, lol. Haven't really had a car I cared to wax since back then. When I got it, it was the best I had tried. Did a good job of filling swirls, minimal dust, etc.
Now I use it on this car, and it doesn't seem to do anything with the swirl marks (though they may be deeper than what I am used to), and after a couple weeks water isn't even beading.
It still goes on and wipes off the same though. Guess I don't want to buy the same thing if I am not going to have better results.

meguiars sucks when it is new IMO..even if you have a new bottle you will need to wax every few weeks cuz that **** doesnt last very long at all...i used to use it and i waxed every 2-3 weeks....now that i use Adam's i wax 2-3 times a year and it doesnt even need it when i do cuz the water is still beading up....i dont think it has a lot of fillers so it wont hide the swirls....only thing that is goin to get rid of those is if you decide to polish it...if it is 10 years old throw it out.

I was wondering if Zaino was still around, I know people raved about it back then.
Eventually I would really like to try that stuff, but I am impatient...
So I went to walmart and picked up a couple of things.
Meguiars SwirlX to fill the swirls, then their NXT wax.
Results were much better. I would say the swirls are gone, though there are some deeper scratches left from someones half-assed buff job.
We'll see how long it lasts!

zaino is nice but has to many steps to achieve what adams can and adams is more user friendly IMO. if you really want to check if your swirls are gone then get one of these.

you will be amazed at what your paint really looks like.

Is that the spotlight you used on your detail pics? Unfortunately right now I don't really want to know what my paint looks like, lol. Until I either get the stuff to buff it myself, or take it to my uncles body shop and have them do it. Even then, the rock chips will still be there, so it will just be depressing.
If red paint wasn't so dang expensive I'd just have them reshoot it!
