Default Tranny Cooler

Just got a brand new 22,000 lb rated Tranny Cooler on ebay, a nice brand new Hayden. Anyone do this? Any pointers or suggestions? How easy or difficult was the installation?

Bump. It'd be nice to have some feedback. I heard there was some trouble finding the correct fitting?

I have 2 but it took me eight hours (yes, taking my time....) and a ton of lower air-dam modifications to make them fit. Once the lower air-dam is off and the top middle piece is taken off the install isn't that bad. The lower air-dam is a major PITA to get off. There are plastic pull-out's everywhere on it and a huge white one in the middle. I am glad I am done with that install... I have negated the radiator part of the trans. cooler and hooked 2 up in series then directly to the trans. This was the only way I could keep the trans. temps. under control with a bad torque converter. Mine are mounted in front of the radiator. I will have a new T/C within 2 weeks along with a TEP transmission.

Appreciate it, and thanks for the info.

Did the supplied fittings work ok?

I ended up using the larger barbs to connect everything. The skinny ones have the potential to leak more. No leaks since I put them on and that was April/May of last year.

http://www.bulkpart.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?

They provide some nice descriptions, eBay is the cheapest place to get them.

Example: Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) up to 22,000 lbs. (OC-1404): $37.17 + $11.49 shipping

eBay starts at $31.00 + $8.99 shipping.
