Headlights and Odometer dont work after stereo install
I have an 07 GXP and i installed a new head unit in it. I have the monsoon system so i used the GMOS 04 adapter. I noticed that my headlights no longer work, then when i started going through my DIC i realized my odometer doesnt work either, just has ------- for where the mileage should go

I don't think there are any EE's on this forum. I didn't get a single reply on why my amp was out until I removed the fuse, so I asked one of my friends.
What I do know (from a 50,000 ft level) is that your head unit more than likely communicates with the BCM. Don't know if there are multiple ones on this chassis, but when we looked at the navi unit on a CTS I had to buy several components just to get the radio / navi to work.
As stated, one was the BCM. I would start by unplugging the new unit / harness and re-installing the stock unit. Hopefully you didn't fry something.
Like I said above, pulling the fuse "reset" my system.

Did you remove the negative battery cable when you installed the HU?
Check your fuses, then double check all the connections. Inluding the ones you may have pulled on while installing the new HU.

I'm without the bypass module for years now so doubt that's it. And well I'd say jus check your fuses and if I remember correctly when using the bypass module. Make sure the ign wires are all hooked up together with all tha grounds and then you jus got the speakers. And constant. Nothing out of the ordinary .
