That's awful, I get 25-26 on the interstate (75 mph), 28-30 on highways (60), and 18-20 city and mixed driving...
I've got a K&N hot air intake, cat removed, only mufflers, electric cutout cracked, DoD removed, and a custom tune.

Get a catless downpipe and have the rear O2 sensor tuned out and the cat overtemp program turned off. I picked up, on average, 2-5 MPG, depending upon conditions.
I now have an 87 octane DiabLew tune, too. Didn't lose any mileage with that.
The next thing I want to do is experiment with taping off part of the grille a la NASCAR style to try to improve the aero.

I average 18.2, and 90% of that is Highway. Every time I reset it gets lower and lower. When I first got the car, I was averaging 24 MPG (mostly city), and now I average roughly 18 (mostly highway). I think I just need a good tune, but right now I can't afford it.
On a side note, for some reason lately I've been getting poor throttle response. I suspect my cutout has something to do with it, because it's been progressively getting worse since I put it on. Maybe the cutout has something to do with poor gas mileage/throttle response ?????????

I'll be taking some black vinyl tape and closing off some of the airflow through the grilles, so that it's redirected around the car. Since our car is driven mostly at 60 MPH+, this should yield an improvement in gas mileage.
It will take some experimenting, though, because if you close off too much, it will run too hot.

I was averaging about 30 MPG on a recent trip from the Chicago area to Atlanta. I don't drive fast, just the speed limit which was 70 about 90% of the trip. Car is absolutely bone stock.

I drive like heavy footed but don't speed. I average between 15 and 16 City. Just drove to indy did not speed either got 23.5. Over half of that was 60 mph and some of it was 70. Ahh well car goes into storage at the end of this month!

I believe I'm sitting at 14.5 MPG currently. I'm mostly city driving. I desperately want a tune, but I don't have the money for one. I want to get that number up. Even 18 would be great.

lol, how many MPG threads do we have now?
What have we learned... RECAP:
Some people get 75 (exaggeration) mpg - because they can't add or only drive downhill
Some get 10 - because they drive the car like they are supposed to
Everyone gets somewhere in the middle - Because that is how it works.
If you are worried about MPGs go buy a ******* Prius, Civic, Focus, Cruze, aka something with a 4 banger not a V8!
