Dude you gotta stop teasing us like this,LoL. That shade of red is cool. I think it makes the caliper pop and on the lighter colored cars it will really be kick ***. Just sign me up for a set!!!!!!

Been lookin to do Inc this as soon as I found drunkies thread a while back. If I do it, the calipers will stay silver. I do like how the rotor completely fills the wheel up.

Can I ask why you can't just buy the stuff yourself and bolt them on? Or is it the Powdercoating everyone is after? I found that thread on GPF a while back and had been planningo n doing this if I end up keeping the car.

Well with this kit you can use the factory wheels and drunkies you have to use a wheels with less offset and I dont want to have to buy new wheels. I might just piece it together myself

this basically is drunkie's kit. it's all off the shelf parts.

further reading reveals that OEM GXP 18's will clear no issues. He provided the info on needing an 18" wheel with a specific offset for the other makes/model lines without the proper size rims or for those already running aftermarket wheels.

The GXP stops good enough as-is...i don't think i really NEED bigger brakes yet...

Is there a differance from the cts-v brembos and the wrx or evo brembos? The wrx and evo brembos are more available.

i priced out 2 CTS-V calipers on rockauto for about 300 bucks before shipping. that's relatively affordable and available...

i personally have no idea if the evo/wrx ones will work.

the 2010+ SS calipers will however with one added bonus: they also use 14mm mounting bolts. however they are way more expensive too.

Even though the GXP stops well. How much nicer would these look sitting at a stoplight!

I wanna see someone rig up a 6piston with 15 inch rotors from a cts v

So what are we gonna do about the rears now. The fronts dwarf the rears more than they already do with this kit. Definately put me down for a pair.

I think the G8 GXP calipers are the same as the CTS-V calipers

Sorry for getting you excited, I'm looking for options for my LS4 swap & thought this thread was have answers by seems to have died.. Think I'll order the CTSV calipers and if they don't work for project car, I'll put them on my GXP.

I dont get what people are upset about we know from this thread that the brembos work with stock rotors or if you wanted more weight to add you have the option of 14 ford mustang gt500 rotors
