Exhaust option dilemma!
My '93 z28 has an exhaust cutout after the (gutted) cat, and Im going to buy pacesetter LTs in the near future, now I cant decide if i wanna keep the cut out or go with a custom 2 1/2 exhaust with an x pipe and flowmaster 40's.. I've had friends each tell me diff. things... what do you guys think?....

I'd say go true duals. I used to have Edelbrock shorties with a cutuout in place of the cat, and it sounded kind of cool at WOT, but like **** otherwise. Plus, it was way too loud to uncap unless I was out in the country. I'd look into some smaller mufflers, like bullets or 10 series Flows though with the true duals. I'd be hard to find a spot to tuck the 40 series up under the car. They had troubles tucking my knock-off 10 series mufflers when I had mine done even, and they still sit very low. I found a way to get them positioned so I won't have to worry about it anymore though.

In my opinion those are a great choice. But many will tell you they're too loud. Loudmouth 2's have a nice tone to them and are loud, the Loudmouth 1's are not as toned and are LOUD. I personally think that setup with the LM2's would be awesome but it's all in personal opinion. Do some searches on youtube.com, streetfire.net, etc. and listen to the different combo's ppl have. You'll find one that you like.

That's what I plan on doing. I have long tubes into ORY, with lm1's gonna put an electric cutout on it for the strip to really make some noise. But true duals are nice sounding if you are willing to fork out the cash..

A couple of these will do the trick with an x-pipe. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts...=p4506.c0.m245

Yep I think he's right don't need nothing bigger than a 2.5 inch and it's cheaper too.
