Default Fire hazard

Well I went with duals on my car. Unfortunately the bullets were bouncing against the floorboard. I stuck a piece of heater hose in between them and the floor. My question is it a fire hazard? I've got the extinguisher in the car, but would rather not cause situations in which to use it.

I thought sometimes people did this to their ypipe, but not sure.

I see it melting before it catches on fire.. it takes a good amount to get Rubber going, most of the time it's got to be an open flame already, or something really hot.

Yeah I took it out for its first drive today and I was like that has to stop. I've already got poly mounts, nice and fresh. Its the fact that I'm running duals and well ground clearance is a priority, I tucked the mufflers high, a little too high. Front of the exhaust is not lined up good though, hopefully Monday I will have that all fixed, gotta find a shop that won't be scared of fixing my horrible idea, should angle the front of the hpipe a bit and will bring the mufflers down a little I hope.

Ohhh, you have poly mounts already...well what about pulling (bending) the exhaust down a little so it doesn't bang or will that not work?

Well if it wasn't dark I'd go take pics. Basically though I tried to make something in my driveway so the piping would clear my SLP subframe connectors. It would have worked fine, but then I just kinda measured things and then went to the shop I hang out at and they welded it. Didn't quite fit the same when I got back home. So I'm leaking at the collectors, and the front of the hpipe is angled down hence mufflers higher than I originally planned on. Monday I hope to find someone with a exhaust bender, they can redo my first 5 inches of piping then, H pipe should sit level, mufflers should come down about a 1/4 inch then, and the pipe should then properly slip over the collectors, I hope.

Hope that works out for you. When I first had cats welded onto my Y pipe the poor excuse for an exhaust welder had one all hanging down at an angle and it scraped on stuff and looked like ***. Ended up going to someone who knew what they were doing and the added in a slightly crushed piece of pipe to get everything level and get back the ground clearance.
