LE3 385 on E85 with 450rwhp possible?
Now that my TA will never be a daily driver again, and E85 is become more locally available, I am considering making my 385 build strictly E85. I already have a Scat 9000 3.75 crank, SRP 4.040 pistons, LE3 heads, 5.7 Scat I-beams. Was planning on about 12.3 SCR and cam above 9.0 DCR for E85, so if I need to switch back to gas, all I would have to swap out is the cam to get a lower, more 93 octane friendly DCR. Intake will be ported by Lloyd later as well, and I have the M29 trans and will run 3.73-3.90's in my 10-bolt.
I want to keep the shift revs below 6600 to keep it a somewhat torquey motor, vs a 7000 rpm rev-happy race motor. As well as to keep the Scat crank happy. BTW, I ran open cutout 100% and solid engine mounts and find it perfectly fine, so I can tolerate, and expect some harshness. Use for the car will be occasional weekend car, autocross, and road course track days. It is not a drag car, other than maybe twice a year, and always on street tires.
Do you guys think an E85 LE3 headed 383 would make about 450 rwhp keeping the revs below 6600? Just want some opinions.

I see no reason why it cant. Maybe not the first time out, but through some tuning and optimizing the heads shouldn't be a limiting factor. I would have Le spec the cam for you.

yup...should be no issues. I did an E85 build also, and I have two separate tunes so I can switch back to 93 if I would like. Gas fill ups come a bit more frequently and you have to know where they sell E85 if you drive out of your hometown.

I got one suggestion for a custom cam with 12.2 SCR and would put DCR at 9.1
23x/24x .61x/.61x 108 LSA.
What do you guys think about this cam? What kind of 1/4 MPH and rwhp do you think this would put down on LE3 heads in a 385? Like I said, its not going to be a drag car, just a weekend street/autox/RR car, I'm still on the 10-bolt and street tires, so 1/4 ET isn't of much concern.
