coil packs?
guys i need some info on coil packs for an lt1. first i need to know if its worth it? is it as good as a distributor? and what parts do i need other then the coil packs the LTCC and harness that comes with the LTCC? and last if i did this would i still need a new ignition box? id appriciate as much info as possible even if its a book.

At this point, assuming you can get it tuned, the cost of LTCC and using the latest LS PCM mod that a gentleman just came up with would be probably not too much more expensive. There's also the fact you'll then be running a much better computer system for future upgrades and it may even help you drop some time at the track and get some better fuel economy (speculation of course)
Reliability is much better due to the fact that our Opti's hate liquids/moisture. Coils couldn't really give a crap (as long as the weather gaskets and plug wire boots are in good order) and won't corrode from sparking between rotor and cap posts.
