Default Cam and LT recomendations

I'm looking at adding long tubes and a different cam, I'm just bored and want to make it sound a little nicer. What do people recommend?

I'm trying to keep away from a stall for now. Its coming soon tho.

And I will be running open headers with turn downs.

I think after this Im going to make it bottle fed.

Heres my current mods.

well if you don't want a stall that will greatly limit your cam choices

you made 393rwhp with a hotcammed auto with shorty headers?

Stall + Cam = Love

Therefore you should stall, especially since you have a DD

I had one it got sold less than 2 days ago, thats why want to make this a little more enjoyable. I cant afford 4 projects cars. I really honestly like Hondas, but its not a Camaro. And the other 2 are family history.

ah ok I was gonna say damn lol

pacesetters are cheap and fit great, unless you want stainless steel then go LPP

what do you have done to your heads besides milling? gm847 would be a decent cam for your setup, unless your heads are unported then being a 383 with a big cam might do some harm performance wise

I'm thinking I want Stainless really.

The heads are just milled. About how much is it going to hurt me.

I'm trying not to half to tear half the engine down, I just got the interior put back together. (Someone smashed out the T-Tops)

And what could I do to regain the lost power. I cant really spend a ton on it.

I love "Bumpty-bumpty", call it a weak spot.

PS- Where can I find the GM 847 for sale?

Ive never stalled a car, or even drove a stalled car. What is the difference as far as every day driving?

I'd cam and stall personally, upgrade to LT's at a later date. the next batch of LPP's wont be out till march I think anyways. personally with your set up I'd call up lloyd elliot or AI and see what they suggest for you.

Screw the cam for now. Put a Yank SS3600 Yank in it, and a good trans cooler. Add some 3.73 gears plus some sticky tires. Ditch the shorties and get some LTs. Then throw on a Nitro Daves plate kit with a 150rwhp shot. These mods will hold you over for a while. Then when you get bored, change the cam and go with some full roller non SA rockers.
