Default Cutout Install Prices

well i just bought my 3 inch electric cutout and it just came in the mail yesterday...i went to a local exhaust shop to get an idea on how much it would cost to weld it up...the guy told me $125...so im just asking everyone if you think this is way to high a price or should i find another shop...where i live exhaust shops are a dime a dozen so this was just my first stop...but this price honestly amazed me i was not expecting him to tell me $125 it seems really high and i told him i only need you to weld it...im going to install the wires and switch and he satyed at his price...just want to hear some opinions

Should cost $60 or $70 max to have it welded in, and some people might even think that's high.

ha, i love **** like this, i offer to do this **** for free around chicagoland...ive done three members sfc's and minor exhaust work for free, imo evin 60-70 fing sucks

WTF, i had my cutout welded in for $25. Usually its 10 bucks a cut or weld around here. Find a hole in wall exhaust shop.

Good one, if i new how to weld i would to. Takes only 10 minutes to weld the damn thing in and shops have the nerve to charge that much. Makes me sick to see people who don't know any better getting there cars worked on.

Theres a local "Performance" I use that word lightly shop that said $165 to weld in a replacement muffler. Got it done for $40.

this is why i come to this site before anything...i knew the price was way to high...ill be looking for another shop now...thanks guys

That shops bending you over...$50 max and that's still on the pricey side

thanks everybody...im definitly finding another shop...this was my first stop...once he told me $125 i was like thats inculding the wiring and mounting of the switch to right??? even tho the wiring isnt hard and my plan was to do it myself and he was like no thats just the weld..i walked out hahaha...again thanks guys

I got my spiral flows cut out and replaced with 1 chambers for 50 bucks. That was a good bit of cutting and welding compared to a cutout since my new mufflers are so much shorter than the old ones.
I wouldnt pay over 50, I think 25 would be fair.
