Default Valve covers

I dont have my alt at the top anymore and i am looking for some options to replace the old factory black ones. Where is a good place to find some without the alt notch.

Also will the factory LT4 valve covers fit and if so where to find some.

Just search Ebay for any SBC center bolt valve covers. Now that the alt is relocated, any one will work. Some of them sure are purdy.

I've used fatrodder covers and now Canton's, but all are still notched.

Google will probably be your best friend.

i found these same covers and i really like them but was questionable about these issues. Also are they too tall to have a shock tower brace clearence?

Good question.

They still appear to be shorter than the intake manifold, and if it clears the manifold, it will clear the covers.

Proform 141-131 black or 141-130 polished, I run the black ones myself. Licensed GM parts. Leave out the baffles if you have rr.

ya i would really like to use the ones that ray has. Those are the ones i originally saw and like but i couldnt figure out how to use the cvc or how to put oil in and i would hate to have to remove the valve cover to put oil back in every 3000 miles.

You could cut a grommet-sized hole for the CVC, and fill that way.

It shouldn't matter where it goes to be honest, but I'd center it between rocker sets.

I don't use a PVC, I run a breather in the front pass side. To add oil, I pull the breather filter and pour it in.

All you have to do is drill a hole in the cover and install your PCV valve and oil fill cap/breather

you took your pcv valve off of your intake manifold? Or are you talking about the cvc that is just the elbow that comes off of the back of the passenger side valve cover? and if this is the one that you are talking about did you just cap it off at your TB? i hadd done this with the factory valve covers and just put a breather filter on there and it ended up blowing oil out of it all on to my headers.

I do not run a PVC/CVC at all....for crankcase ventilation I run a single breather on the front of the passenger valve cover. I have capped the TB inlet.

I have had zero issues with blowing oil out of the breather. If you do, you can run a catch can off the valve cover and vent the catch can to atmosphere
