I have a 97 trans am and the right light pops up after turning lights off? It comes up and goes down on command but after I turn it off it will go down and pop back up 90% of the way on its own??? the left works correctly, I have to manually roll it down to keep it down, but it does the same thing after I turn it back on. Anyone know whats going on?

Anytime there's a problem with our headlights, I assume it's the gear. It sounds like it could be because the motor has a mind of it's own when the gears inside them are worn. If this is the case, I HIGHLY recommend getting some hard coated aluminum gears from Bfranker. I have them and they work awesome. Only problem is making sure you get the epoxy to seal right after installing. Here's his site....

I think it may be the gears, but if it's not, maybe someone will chime in.

Thanks for the link, it was very helpfull. It seems from what the site states one of my "stops" are broken off and will need to be replaced.
