Quick Question - replace head bolts or not?
Trying to get info on replacing head gaskets on a 1994 LT1 Camaro.
I found the cylinder head gasket kit from Thunder Racing so far..
Do I need to replace the cylinder head bolts or not?
And what type of sealant is needed on the bolts before they go back in? Found a GM part number, but it didn't describe exactly what it was.
Thanks!

The ARPs are good for numerous uses. Factory, non-TTY bolts would be questionable, but not necessarily unusable. I like to err on the side of caution for something that important.

I've had the same set of ARP head bolts for at least 5 years now. I think my top end has come off at least once a year and now they are on my 396. What's beautiful about them is they cost about the same as stock TTY bolts...
