ET + MPH Question
I am having a hard time getting my car to ET well, my short time sucks bad 2.5-2.8 foot braking to 2000 and I am trapping at 107-109. If I could get my short time down what kind of ET could I potentially see and with a better launch would my MPH improve drastically or no? Sorry for the silly question but I am curious

try letting the converter flash at idle. Dont rev it up at the line. Just mash the gas. 2.5 60fts suck big time. you could easily reduce your et's by .5 seconds if you get it down. 107mph is a high high 12 sec low 13 second run.
whats your 1/8 mile times? 1/4 and 1,000ft times?

I have been scared to run sticky tires for my 10 bolts sake but to run 13s after all the money I have put in this thing is disappointing as hell. I guess some DRs and some fresh fluid in the diff are in the near future I was just curious what was capable with a 107 trap speed, what I really need is a driver mod. I am curious about the whole foot brake thing tho, is that really not a good idea?

last year with a stock trans, hotcam and full exhaust i trapped 106mph and ran a 13 flat. 2.0 60ft. 8.4 1/8th. This year with the new trans/converter i ran a 13 flat, 1.9 60ft 8.3 1/8th. not revving it up at all. Just leaving off idle and hitting the gas. let the torque multiplication do its work.
so i would say you car has more e.t in it with those trap speeds. !driver mod like you said. 10bolts can be found for cheap. so let 'r rip at the track. Plus altitude is a big factor in what you run. find out the elevation of the track you go to. FInd one of those calculators on the internet and fine out what you would run if you were at sea level or w/e.

Get some MTs & like was said leave at idle and mash it to the floor. You should see mid 12s.I get 1.76 60s with mine & you got more power. A4s are not as hard on 10 bolts as you think.I have over 60 passes on mine this year.

I wonder what your DA is when you're running - does the MPH seem low for a cam/bolt ons car? He dyno'd 339rwhp - that would be good for 110+mph I would think.
Even at 107 thats 12's with a solid hook - time for sticky tires.

Don't be afraid to run sticky tires with your Auto. I run M/T slicks on my stock 10 bolt and use to run M/T ET Street Radials and have put many 1.6x 60' times on the car without issues.
Your dyno numbers and trap speed dont really add up. I trapped 110 when I had 328rwhp (cc503 cam-only) with my full weight automatic car and now I trap 114 with 360rwhp.
In terms of launching from my experience my car has always liked leaving a little bit above idle but every setup and car is different. I usually footbrake it to about 1200rpm. That way its not so much of a shock on everything than if your sitting there at idle and just mashing on the gas.
Where is the car shifting at? Who tuned it? If it's shifting a couple hundred rpm's too low that would equal a couple mph right there. I've been there and done that, shiftpoints are everything with a setup.

Last summer I got a 2.2 60 ft with a slipping tranny at 124k miles bone stock. If youre getting 2.5 you need tires bad. A 9.1 1/8th mile time is indicitive of how slow youre 60 footing because you should be mid 8s at that mph on the big end. Get that 60 down to 1.8 at least and youll be cookin boss.
