Default Alternator Connector Issue...

So the clip that keeps the connector in snapped from age while taking it off, so I bought a new acdelco one. I noticed that the one on the car only has one wire (red, I think) and another one that is severed (black). I figured I'd deal with that when the new one comes, but the new one came and it has 4 wires. Then I look closely at the one on the car and there is a 3rd visible wire (green I think) also severed in the harness. Plus all the wires on the new one are white so I'm not sure where to put which one....What should I do here?

Match the Pins on the broken Connector to the ones on the new Connector.

Hopefully someone else can chime in with some more info on this one.. I don't remember how many wires were on the Alternator on the LT1..it's been a min..

This is the only wire you need. Replacement pigtails come with more wires to cover other models that might use them. If you see a green wire, it probably goes to the a/c compressor.

This should be the one for the CS-144 alternator that our cars have, not the one that was posted before.

LS engines use a CS130 alt. That is what the straight connector is for.
