Hit security button W/ Engine Running - Killed It - No Power
I accidentally hit the valet switch with my foot with the engine running and it killed the engine and then smoke came from the terminals above the battery, not the battery itself and now I have no power (although it dings with the key in ignition with door open. I checked all fuses and I have no idea what to do. I put a battery tender to it and still nothing. I tried disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes and reconnecting it with no change.
EDIT: I don't think it's called the valet switch, but when you disconnect your battery, you must push this switch while turning the key for it to start, but you will have power everywhere else, pump will prime etc, but it will not start unless you hit the button. What is this called?

it's a button, sorry, not a switch, read my last edit at the bottom. Headlights work, Windows don't, Electric Seat adjustment works, the fuel pump doesn't prime, gauges dont work.

yea, earlier I was so pissed I didn't know where to look. I saw some bare wire but didn't know what that meant, after some research I found that that means the wire melted out of the insulation, indicating a blown fuselink. I also didn't know what a fuselink was or what it did when I started the thread. The napa closed before I was able to get some replacement wire.
The question is why? I am pretty sure the killswitch/security button overloaded something, I just hope it only blew a fuselink or two. I wish I can get rid of it competely, I could have done that on accident any time before, lucky I didn't. I doubt I can get rid of it, it's probably hooked into the vats system, maybe I can move it somewhere where it can't be accidentally pushed when the engine is running, or put a toggled cap on it (it's a spring loaded switch, you have to hold it down while turning the key if you are starting it up after disconnecting the battery....evidentally you shouldn't touch it when the car is running ).

something a previous owner put in. Why I don't know. Maybe a previous owner couldn't bypass the alarm put in by the owner before him when he reconnected the battery so he did this to bypass it? No idea. I'm going to try to take it somewhere to try to have it removed completely when I get the car working because it is ridiculous.
