Default Teach me the opti mod

I did a search and every other thread has "opti" in it.

I know you have to get it open with a special reverse torx. Any one know which one?? And what screw has to be lock-tited?? will red work??

Thanks

If you still have a stock TB pull off one of the plate bolts and use it backwards

Thats about all you can do besides switching to a MSD cap and rotor.

I could never find an "E4" torx bit so I left it alone. It's been fine.

Like AC said, the TB plate on a stock TB has little torx bolts holding it. One of the used upside down works perfectly. I still use one and put little nuts on it jammed together so I could use a ratchet or wrench.
Alot of guys change the screws for better quality on the rotor, but I cant find the exact thread size needed

I used to use a stock TB plate bolt until today.

I hit up harbor freight this morning. $7.99 for E4 through E10 I believe.
