Bogging?
i just replaced the fuel pump in my car... for some reason, within the first 5 or so minutes of driving, when i go to floor the car, it completey levels off and gains no rpm or speed, but when i let off and floor it again, it runs perfect... could this be a ground wire or what? im stumped

And this wasn't happening before replacing fuel pump? I would put a fuel pressure gauge on the Schrader, take the vacuum off the FPR, drive it doing a few quick blips on the throttle and see what happens. That should be able to tell you right away if it is the pump or ignition related.

Pressure was fine and pump sounds good, drove the car again and it's did the same thing in first gear, so I let of and back on it and it did the same bogging, as soon as I shifted to 2nd the problem went away and the car ran perfect... Any idea what ignition part could be causing this? Still weird how it only does this one time after start up and then runs fine until it sits and is started again!
