Bobby Simpson(in Houston, TX) had a pair of them and was taking his time to get them going. Almost had them setup... then someone broke into his shop and stole the intake and some other stuff. He was having a bad time with family stuff at the same time so it never materialized.

There is a guy from Waco, TX that actually had them running on a motor (of course no dyno/track numbers). Probably about 8-9 years ago. Silver Trans Am if I recall correctly.
Another guy in Dallas had a set on a white LT1 C4 Corvette convertible, but I don't think the car ran.
All in all, there were about 7-8 sets of these heads floating around about 10 years ago.

Yeah. I saw a magazine article back in the 90's (I believe it was in that period) where they dyno tested a traditional SBC and it made (for then) sick power off of a cam whose lift was only in the .3xx range. I think the main drawback was that it takes a lot of modifications to the intake manifold and the block to work with the crazy pushrod angles.
BTW- did you guys know that Formula 1 racing engines use compressed air to articulate the valves closed? A friend of mine that is heavily into F1 told me this and I was so amazed. I never really thought about those engines using anything other than say overhead cams.
Here's a link describing how it works...

Using this technique, these F1 engines can buzz to 19,000 RPM. This is because 'air' closes the valve. There's no need to have a heavy mechanical spring to close the valves.
The technology is VERY proprietary and there's even rules within F1 addressing piracy of this technology. Keith, my friend, said an incident occurred where a Ferrari tech quit the team and went to a rival team. He took Ferrari's 'secret' design with him to the new team and revealed the techniques to the new team. I don't remember if the new team suddenly became competitive or if someone revealed the tech pirates efforts. At any rate, the F1 committee found out, prosecuted the tech and banned his team for some period of time.

Was it one of the owners of DynoTech with Chris Harrington? If so, I saw those heads on an engine on a stand back in the late 90's. Never saw it in a car though. The owner of the heads ripped Harrington off causing him to close shop. Place was a mickey mouse **** hole anyway. Lots of mouths ended up with shattered dreams and empty pockets once their car was exposed to the crookedness knows as Team Dynotech.

I could have been. I know Jordon was looking at buying that car a while back. I remember all that DynoTech stuff......wow, that was a long time ago.
