Default water pump drive and timing chain worn out

hey guys im doin the timing chain and gaskets on my 94 lt1 z28 (160K)
and noticed the water pump drive is kinda lose im going to swap it out also but just wanted to know from you guys what shape both the chain and the wp drive are in since its my 1st time doing this project. thanks

make sure the WP drive is sitting all the way in the bore..then if it spins freely with no binds then it should be good if not you need a new one

if i were you, I would knock out the water pump gear and put in a elec waterpump

Make sure you replace the sprockets as well, not just the chain. The sprockets and chain wear together.
