O-ring on shaft of opti for 93-94 LT1?

Default O-ring on shaft of opti for 93-94 LT1?

im trying to help a friend rebuild his lt1 and i cant remeber if there is an o-ring that goes on the shaft of the opti his is a 93 thanks for any help

No theres no O-ring, Just a seal on the back of the opti and another in the timming cover.

Concur. No o-ring for opti. There is an o-ring for the water pump though.

Its a seal, I think its not sold separately, it comes with the timing gasket set.

Are you sure? I don't remember ever seeing an O-ring for the WP.

there is at least one o-ring on the splined shaft cause im in the middle of a rebuild.I check to see exactly where it is tomorrow.

The o-rings on the water pump drive (on both ends) are not for sealing, they are for dampening. Any conventional o-ring will work as long as the coupler fits snug over it.

Absolutely sure. What WRD72 said. And seal for opti, no O-ring like you said. Careful not to lose or damage the little spring on the opti seal.
